Sailed at Hove and there was significantly more swell than I would have expected. Launched at half nine and the first hour was the best. Wind cross shore, giving a wind shadow on the inside, relative to the howling gusts further out. I rigged 5.5m which was enough to plane out through the windless zone. Swell was good size and frequent. I would say up to head height swell and lining up well for downtheline riding. As the tide rolled out, the inside wave got a bit fat and the size dropped to waist to chest ish, still opportunity for laying down the rig and dreamin' you were bottom turning Jaws. Bright sunshine at first, becoming drizzle and finally no wind at all. It may be filling in again, but that was it for me.
